Back pain is gone, for the most part. Thank you chiropractor! It hurts a little bit, but it’s mostly my sciatic nerve giving me trouble. I worked out VERY hard on Monday in aerobics class. Again on Tuesday. Today, I worked out with Steve and I am scheduled to do it tomorrow too. Hopefully, the pizza buffet that I overindulged in on Monday will not show on the scale by Friday. I bet I gained almost 3 lbs on that damn buffet.
We told the in-laws on Saturday at Madison's soccer game. Debbie was taking a picture of me in my Halloween costume and I asked her if my baby bump showed up in the pictures. She looked pretty shocked and was estatic.
A site to share the progress of our son, Grayson, diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynostosis in his 2nd day of life. He underwent surgery on 8-8-08 to correct it. I also post about my exciting adventures as a Stay-At-Home-Mommy to 3 kids.

My First Pregnancy Woe
OMG this back pain is horrible! I feel like I have thrown my back out. It started hurting yesterday while we were walking around Walmart. It burns up my spine. The only thing that feels better is to hunch over, but I can’t spend the next 8 months hunched over. Chris is rubbing icy hot on it, and I am using ice packs during the day and heat at night. Plus, the massager is helping a lot too. Kaylee is a big helper there. She loves to try and help me out. If only she could carry her brother around…..

First DR Appt
We had our first Dr appt today. Chris went with me. The kids were at preschool. Everything looked good. I am 5 weeks today, according to them, but that could change once they do the U/S to measure. I bought me a food journal that I am keeping with me. I am logging my calories. My goal is 25-35 lbs. I just need to be dedicated. I go for my first U/S on Nov 16. We will hopefully get to hear the heartbeat.

Almost 5 weeks
Little bouts of nausea today, but nothing too bad. As long as I eat often, I am OK.
This is so hard to keep a secret. We are going to tell our family on Thanksgiving Day. 5 weeks to go!
I saw the chiropractor today. He said if my sciatic nerve gets too bad, we could use acupuncture. I’ve never done that before, so it will be a new experience, but hopefully we won't have to go there. But, I just remember how excruciating the pain in my lower back and hip was the last 2 times, so I’m up for anything to help.

OMG!!!
This morning, I took a pregnancy test, and was surprised it came out positive. It was a very faint line. I kept my pee cup and went and got a digital test. When I returned later that day from taking Kaylee to reading classes, I dipped the digital test into the cup and almost instantly it said “Pregnant”. Since the results only display for 24 hours, I took a digital picture of it and sent it off to Walmart to be developed. I picked up the picture a few hours later and put it inside a card for Chris. He read it and was shocked! Neither one of us expected it this month. Our timing was not very good, but I guess our 1 single lonely "concentration" session was all it took. I called the Dr and made my first appt.
