A site to share the progress of our son, Grayson, diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynostosis in his 2nd day of life. He underwent surgery on 8-8-08 to correct it. I also post about my exciting adventures as a Stay-At-Home-Mommy to 3 kids.

24 weeks
OK, so it’s been a while since I wrote. I’m 24 weeks today. We chose a name…Grayson Alexander. I didn’t feel like Jayde was manly enough, and Layton doesn’t sound good with our last name. I had my Dr visit Thursday. Oh my!!! 13 lbs in 4 weeks! This is ridiculous! I asked the Dr what I could do about this weight gain and she repeated NO CARBS. So, even though I was doing whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta, I have to cut that out too. Apparently, my body doesn’t process it very well, and it just stores it. I feel so fat! My arms, butt and thighs are HUGE!…Oh yeah, my belly too, but I’m OK with that. I just wish I was all belly, but apparently it’s not in my genetics to be all belly. If I keep going, I will pass the 60lb mark. So, if I can control it and only gain 1 lb per week, I should be right at 50lbs. I’m OK with that, although I REALLY wish it was less. So, I am eating fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, and yogurt. High protein, low carbs, low fat. Even with the exercise and working out, I am gaining the same, if not more. I’ve been fighting off a cold for the past few weeks too. I’ve been doing what I can, but trying not to fall asleep. I have wanted a nap almost every day, and I have been able to take them most days. Around 1pm, I get tired and groggy. Grayson gets hiccups every night around 7pm and starts kicking at night around 10pm. I wonder if that will be his schedule. My boobs have grown, yet again….I think they are a size F or something. My bra’s are all tight, and hurt my chest. Kaylee said “mommy, are you trying to grow your boobs out or something?” It was funny. Well, I’m up to 33 lbs total at this point, so here’s hoping I can control it from now on.
